# Link Integrity

> Every link goes where it says it goes.

**Accuracy**

**Every link goes where it says it goes.** This agent checks every hyperlink and bare URL in your content — where it points, whether it still resolves, and whether the destination is what the text claims.

## What it catches

Links whose visible text spells out one domain but lead somewhere else, dead destinations — both outright 404s and pages that return "200 OK" while showing an error, citations that credit a named source but point somewhere that isn't it, working links that have nothing to do with what they're cited for, and domains that outlived their content and now serve a parked page or an ad farm. Sign-in-walled documents get a low-risk nudge to confirm your readers can open them. Sites that block automated readers are reported as unverified, never as broken — a paywalled article is a perfectly good link for a human.

## Why it matters

Links are the part of a document nobody re-reads. They rot silently after publish, they carry the citations your credibility rests on, and a single mispaste can send readers to a competitor — or to a lapsed domain serving something worse.
