# Date & Time Accuracy

> Catch dates and times that can't be right.

**Accuracy**

**Catch dates and times that can't be right.** This agent flags dates and times that are wrong on their face — checked against the calendar, not against the outside world.

## What it catches

Dates that can't exist ("June 31", or "February 29" in a year that isn't a leap year), weekday names attached to the wrong date ("Friday, June 11, 2026" is really a Thursday), ranges that end before they begin, stated durations that don't match the dates given ("a three-day workshop, June 10–14"), and timezone pairings that don't convert ("2 PM ET / 10 AM PT"). It also flags event times missing a timezone, an AM/PM, or both. Version numbers, product codes, and dates inside URLs are recognized and ignored, and when a date could reasonably be read two ways, it's flagged only if it's wrong under every reading.

## Why it matters

A wrong date is one of the easiest ways for content to look careless, and one of the hardest mistakes for an editor to catch — each date looks fine on its own line, so you have to know the calendar to notice that June 31 isn't a real day. Nothing here needs configuring and nothing is compared to today's date, so the same document always gets the same result.
